Movie Theaters!
I bet some of the funniest stories could be told...experiences there.
My wife, early 1972 we went to an old theater in downtown Lynchburg, Va. (Warner). I'm 19, 6ft 125# super skinny, she was a skinny 17yo. Theater was almost empty so we sat in middle, large drinks & popcorn. The movie starts. Suddenly I'm folded up in the seat!!! Food everywhere. I turn around and size 13 army boots in my face! Now I'm thinking there's some big Marine messing with me...but I don't care...adrenaline was flowing, I may get my axx beat but I'll get a few good whacks in on this sob.
I get up finding an elderly intoxicated little old black lady!
So...we moved after I washed up in restroom.
I worked at another theater while going to college. Every night was exciting!
