I have a Case IH D155 engine. What kind of antifreeze do I need for this engine? I also have a 5 cylinder Kubota, and I need to know what kind of antifreeze for it too. Do I need the heavy duty antifreeze pre-charged or is conventional ethylene glycol okay? Thanks for your advice.

Have you checked the owner's manual? My Kubota L2501 recommends ethylene glycol based antifreeze. I personally prefer to buy straight antifreeze and mix with distilled water. It's a lot less expensive than the pre mixed stuff. You definitely want distilled water not tap water to prevent adding minerals to your cooling system.

I do use concentrated antifreeze with distilled water. I looked up rebuild kits on both engines today. It appears that both use wet liners in the blocks. I've decided to play it safe and use the antifreeze that is pre-charged since both engines have wet liners.
