I have a newly installed diverter kit installed on a 5075e. It came with 2 female ag type couplers installed on the front of the loader. My grapple has the flat faced couplers so I have to switch out one or the other. I decided to go with the flat faced mainly cause I always forget to use the covers/plugs on ag style and they are cleaner. I got to looking at the ag style on the loader and can't find any flat faced with same configuration.
The female couplers on the loader have a 1/2" male pipe out the end that goes through a hole in a metal plate to mount them on the tractor. A swivel nut on a steel line then connects to the threaded end. The pipe is not tapered, a jamb nut is used to mount it to the plate. The pipe out the rear of the couplings appears to be a permanent part of the assembly/ not screwed in the couplings. What I bought is a set of flat faced couplings with 1/2" female threads. I cannot figure out what I need to use these and can't find any that have the male pipe built on to mount to the plate with the hole in it.
After seeing this, I thought I'd just go with the AG couplers and I already had a set of male pioneer tips to install on the grapple. I removed the flat faced couplers from the grapple which appeared to be 1/2". However, even though the threaded end of the hose appeared to be the same as the AG coupler, it would not thread on. It must be a different thread pattern than a normal 1/2" hydraulic hose? Metric maybe??
So at this point, I need more parts but not sure what I need. I think I'd still like to go the flat faced route if I can get the parts I need to solidly mount to the loader in the same way the ag couplers are mounted now.
