WHAT KIND OF DISCS TO BUY?

/ WHAT KIND OF DISCS TO BUY? #11
I have a Howse with boxed frame and greasable fittings. I would go with the tuffline folding if I were to go again. The howse has been a good disc. Look for 7" spacing on one gang and 9" spacing on the other. I was told this would make a smoother finish.

Thanks for all the replies.

I think I am going to buy a medium duty set. What manufacturers have the notched discs, greasable bearings, and a boxed frame- medium duty for around $500-$700.00 ? I should be able to buy a medium duty "cheap" set correct?

I have thought about buying used, but I ask myself why buy used when I can afford new? I don't get to do this much at all so I am going to take advantage of it now! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

By the way do discs come with a warranty?

Do I need to look for a set with small or large axles?

I get a classifieds paper but there aren't many used discs in there at all. Like I said though, I want a new set. Except for my finishing mower, all my other implements are new (Bush Hog, Box Blade, Boom Pole).

Thanks,
Travis
