Funny you should ask about the garden spider , We just had one show up now and has it's web by the back door . It has been a long time since I have sen any around and am glad to have it here , wife is not , be hey , she will get over it ..........

I hear you but people should be careful.

Around here we have black widows and brown recluse (sp?) spiders and I don't think its a good idea to tolerate these about the house.

I know several people that have made recent trips to the hospital for bad spider bits, and I ran across a large black widow today.

Perhaps the key is to learn to identify the few bad types. Which is not that hard. The black widow is obvious and the recluse has a fiddle symbol on its back.
In fact if you leave the good ones alone they will help you control the bad ones. Spiders like the wolf spiders eat other spiders.
