Yep. We find them often in people's yards a mile or more from any known water. What I mean by that is there could be a small pond or ditch nearby that we don't know about. My in-laws live several hundred feet north of a swamp. Mom finds turtles in her yard heading away from the swamp, so she picks them up and takes them back to the swamp. She keeps telling me the crazy turtles are heading the wrong way. I keep telling her the crazy turtles probably want to go lay eggs in the sand that has been there for thousands of years just north of the swamp, but some lady keeps picking them up and taking them back to the starting line... now she helps them across the road in the direction they were heading. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
