What make is the best for Commerical Log Splitter?

Hi, I'm looking for a commerical log splitter and want to know what is the best make and model that is under 2500.00 on the market? This log splitter will be gas and made to split wood up to 25 inches in dia or more.

Terry; I can't claim any experience using them, but from observations at farm shows, woodsmen's shows, etc. I am really impressed with Timber Wolf (I think that is the right name) brand splitters. They are made in Rutland VT.
I am still using a homemade splitter my father made in 1980 for the small amount of splitting I do.

I just rented a wood splitter on Saturday. It was made by Iron and oak. Here is their web site

This splitter was a 22 ton and handled red oak that was 30 inches in diameter. I was impressed. Used a 5.5 B&S Intek engine. Never stalled nor hesitated.

I have a 33 ton Cub Cadet(yellow color) with a 9 HP engine. It has brake/blinker lights on it and it is the nicest one I have seen.They make 2 different sizes.The 33 ton is the largest they make.

We have a Yard Machines, which is nearly identical to the Cub Cadet. It works great and you can get parts on-line from MTD. I think it cost around $1000 brand new. It's a 33 ton.

The Splitters that Norther Tool carrys are very nice.

www.NorthernTool.com But I like the Timberwolf the best in that price range for commercial use.
