Tractor
Mahindra 4025
I'm welding some bucket hooks onto my FEL, and was just wondering what else I could do for my tractor with the welder. I'd like to fabricate some kind of grill guard, for example (Mahindra 4025). And I'd like to make something I could carry chain on when I'm not using it. What other welding projects have you guys done for your tractors (BESIDES bucket hooks and pallet forks)?

I welded a pair of 3/4" bolts to the top of my FEL bucket (Mahindra 5525) for a 2" receiver hitch.

I put a ball hitch on my 10-ft Minneapolis Moline P3-6 grain drill to manuever it into the equipment shed.

The shed has a gravel floor that makes it a chore to roll those steel wheels and keep the drill from moving offline when backing it in. The front-mounted ball hitch makes this job a lot easier to push the drill into the shed by driving the 5525 forward.

I built a grille guard for my tractor when I first bought it. John Deere wanted way too much for something so simple to make. I also built a basket to hold chains, Crescent wrench, small pipe wrench, and hammer.
The grille guard, basket, and hooks on the bucket are about all I've put on my tractor, but I've built, and modified attachments for it.

Shield Arc - those are nice projects. What is that device in the next-to-the-last picture? It looks like a scraper blade with handles...? And what's the story on the one before that, with the scarifiers?

I made the ripper on the lines of having counterweight too. The ones with handles are removable counterweight for when I use the grapple, (if I want to, so far I haven't taken them off). I think the square stock is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" solid.
