what motor oil to run in a new TYM 554 with a yanmar turbo diesel

I run Rotella T6 5W-40 in my red tractors. WW has it for about $22 a gallon. My 6530 uses all of the 2.5 gallon container (price advantage) and the 2400 makes out with 2 gallons.

If the manual stipulates 0W-30 and gives the other specs as well that's what I'd run to maintain the warranty. Sometimes thicker than recommended oils don't flow as well and can cause problems.

I'm using 5w30 Castrol in our 2 diesels after running it in our VW TDI for nearly 7 years with 10k changes. Since I'm now out of VW $, I plan to convert to 0w30 M1 ESP. Have found it online for a tad less than what VW charges for their diesel Castrol. The 0w30 would be even better than 5w30.

You need 0w30 for cold starts in Maine. Otherwise, the top end will starve for lubrication for a few seconds until the oil pump gets suction.

Hi we had purchased the tractor at one location and the tractor was at the other location,we went and purchased the backhoe and thumb,and a set of titan 5500pound forks we payed cash for the forks and some on the backhoe aso 15000.00 down payment and fianced the rest. this was the 6TH of the month.they said they had to order the backhoe and thumb, we said ok. I had asked for pic of the forks 2 times with no reply, I asked the guy we purchased the tractor from the for pic of the forks and said that I was worried abt service. my tractor was still listed on e-bay after I had purchased it I knew which one it was because it was a shuttle shift and it had the 3 scv on the loader. I had looked on facebook market place and see my forks I had purchased,they were still listed, so we went up with a trailer 3 days after we bought them,i didn't take them when we purchased them because we didn't have tie downs with us.so we get there he looks for the forks and they are gone , he said another salesman sold them,and you culd have the other set, I said no I want the ones I payed you for. he said I will order you another set.so now we at the end of the month no backhoe and thumb, he said that the backhoe was going to have the thumb on it.he said that the backhoe was there and no thumb and no forks, it was days later and called to see if it was done, he gave me a hard time I said if I gave you a bad check the sheriff would be at my house,i said that was the same thing he did with the forks.then the head one called me ,I said the deal is off I want my money back, it was over a week before we was refunded. and a lot more had happened also. let me know what you think of that Mark
