I was going to post a picture but could't get a good one. Anyway, I have a few little tree frogs that hide during the day and sit on my kitchen window at night eating the insects that are attracted to the little light over the sink.

My wife has a hummingbird feeder hanging near that same window so she can watch the hummingbirds while she is puttering around the kitchen.

This morning I noticed that one of the frogs was on the feeder. Apparently he jumped over on it last night. It was swinging in the breeze and every time a hummingbird landed it would swing more. The poor little frog was hanging on for dear life not knowing what to do next.

I left him alone thinking that he would figure it out and just forgot about him until my wife came home a few minutes ago. He was still there hanging on for dear life.

I took the feeder down and sit it on the ground so he could finally jump off. I'll bet he never makes that jump again. That is on the south side of the house so he was in the hot sun all day.

I did take a picture through the window but it didn't turn out very well. The camera auto focus keyed in on the screen.

Here it is with an arrow pointing at the frog and a humming bird wondering what the frog is doing on his feeder.

I wonder if that frog did all right on the bugs that like sugar water too?

He might be one smart frog. Getting the bug and icing too!

I hate tree frogs. When I used to work night shifts I would go by the high school and check the big front plate glass door and those little buggers would jump over on my pant leg and ride back to the patrol car with me. After I got in the car, sometime during the rest of the shift he would jump off in the car and eventually die. Then in a few days PHEWEEEE.
