What price do you pay for gallon of milk?

"My wife needs to be in Washington D.C."

I have been chuckling about that comment for over ten minutes! My wife is the same way, and arguing with her is like arguing with a politician! You can never win!!!!! She is always right, never apologizes, spends money like it is water, etc... Now I need to figure out which party she represents. She has the memory of an elephant and can be a Jackaxx at times too. I guess deep down we really love politicians! We married them!!!!!! Scary thought! Overall, You have now made me realize my wife is more like a politician! I can't wait to tell her! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

1% Milk was $1.99 a gallon at Cumberland Farms yesterday.

We never buy a gallon of milk because it would sour before we used it all. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif We've been paying $2.24 per half gallon at Walmart; only buy the real stuff, none of that 2%, low fat, blue john stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif But Sunday afternoon we bought a half gallon at Braum's for $1.44. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

As for the price of stamps, I was working a window at the Post Office selling stamps when the price went from 4 cents to 5 cents. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Airmail stamps were 7 cents and special delivery was 30 cents. And lots of older customers complained about having to pay 3 cents for a "penny postcard". /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Of course when stamps were 4 cents, a mail carrier or postal clerk's salary was $2 an hour.

$1.99 a gallon at Price Rite all versions. This is the lowest I have seen it in a long time.

If ya'll noticed Bird showed that we down south pay almost twice as much as ya'll. Milk is $4.09 at almost all grocery stores/Walmarts. Cheapest around is Dollar General, its $3.89 there most of the time.

As for the price of milk I really dont look at it .Im a former dairy farmer and believe me I know that the farmers work long and hard to just pay their bills.Its really a shame that most farmers have to have a off farm income to survive and I mean just to survive in this economy. People pay 279.9 for a gallon of gas ,the oli companies are getting RICHER every day but we keep on driving and driving and complaining about the high price of gas but we will drive 2 miles to save 10 cents on a gallon of milk.
