I'm trying to post multiple small file size photos into a post and don't know what program to use to combine them so that they all go in together and are still acceptable to the TBN server

Steven,

I can't answer your question specifically, because I've never done it myself. I've only ever posted 1 photo at a time, and even then I post them as attachments. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

But I was just wondering if you're wanting to post them just so people can see them, or if you need to include text along with each photo?

Because if you just want to post the photos to be seen, why don't you put them into the TBN Photo Section TBN Photos , and then you could include a link to the photos in a post. It's a free service, it's really easy to use, and the photos can be a bit larger than the size required for attachments. It would also save you the hassle of trying to find/buy some additional software.

Just a thought...

I'm sure there's a ton of products out there that could do this - but I get a lot of mileage out of PaintShopPro. You could easily cut and paste mulitple images into a single jpeg - and between resizing and compression ratios get it in line with the file size limit here.

They used to have a free 30-day eval version available for download if you've never used it.

I have put photos together using MS Photodraw 2000. It is no longer available. There are some copies of it on Ebay. Here is a picture I did some time ago.

I personally use Adobe Photoshop 7.0, but it's an expensive program. I believe many printer companies include Adobe photodeluxe in their printer software, and it's good for doing what you want to do.
Almost any photo editing software will do this. You simply create a canvas, import all the photos you want, and then when it's complete, set the Dots per inch (DPI) to a point the the total file size is just barely under 100KB/100,000bytes. John

I use Microsoft Picture It 99. It is an old but quick and easy program. This picture, with text, took about 4 minutes to assemble.

I use Microsoft Picture It! Photo Premium 9 that came as a part of Microsoft Works Suite 2004. It's a little different from the earlier version I had, but still similar.

Adobe Photoshop Elements has many of the most commonly used features of Photoshop and some it does not have. Works the same and is either free with some cameras as was mine or costs about $49. I have Photoshop 7 as well.

I have Paint Shop Pro version 7 and 8. Although I personally like version 7 better.
