Last summer I purchased a Brown 472 heavy duty rotary cutter for my new 4630. While I do not have a great deal of experience with rotary cutters, I can attest to the toughness of the Brown. I mowed approx. 40 acres of ex-christmas tree fields. It ground up the old stumps and left over scrub fir with little effort. I got hung up on two different rocks that I could not lift the cutter off of with the 3 pt. hitch and ended up driving off them. This only left a small ripple on the deck of the cutter, although it did a number on my blades. While clearing some grown up trails, I cut lots of 2-3 poplar and birch roughly 12 ft. tall without a problem. This cutter is tough! I would recommend the chain guards on both ends (this leaves the fields looking like they were hayed and works great when backing over the small saplings). I found the 6ft. to be plenty large for maneuvering around the larger trees left in the field and could not imagine needing a larger one, even on a 5700. Mine covered my tracks plus about 4" extra beyond the rear tires. Good luck with your purchase.
