Sorry I mis-interpreted your post. I have a Mitsubishi Satoh dt372. Mine has the 3 speed pto, also, but runs backwards. HMMM, What to do? What to do? Your tiller possibly could be made to work, if the 1200 pto speed is fast enough to run the tiller. If I were you, I would buy handheld laser tachometer from Harbor Freight, point it at the pto, and see how fast you can get it going. Keep in mind that the tractor in question is geared probably lower than the JD is, and to do a good job of tilling, you may have to use lower ground speed to compensate. If the pto runs backwards, like mine, there is a simple solution to adapt the tiller, but that's another story.
