I like the idea of the boxblade too. It seems to me that you can tilt it backwards so the rear blade smooths (does not dig or cut) and then run the scarifiers (rippers) down to act like a brush rake. The scarifiers will yank any brush out and lightly till the sand, and then the rear blade will smooth it out. Small stuff will not be picked up, of course and you need a landscape rake for that.

I like the idea of your sand float on the box blade. It acts exactly like gage wheels without the wheels. I would think you can get a really good smooth finish with that. Good idea.

The sand float does leave a smooth finish without tire tracks;) I also does a little compaction if it is wet. Extending width of the sand float would make it work even better.
