2004 TC30
Looking to purchase some attacments for my TC30 and backhoe. I'm interested in a rear blade, box blade, and york rake. I was wondering what sizes to purchase for my unit.

I was also wondering about what everyone thought about the brand King Cutter for the above toys, for my baby.

When I bought mine the dealer recommended a 5' box blade, 6' back blade and rake. So far I've only used the back hoe and box blade on the TC 30 (work's killing me /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). I have used the back blade and rake on a little Kubota B6100 (14 hp). Based on that you might try a 7' back blade and rake. You might even be able to use a bigger box blade but in my experience traction quickly becomes an issue.

Good luck

I have a King Kutter box blade and it works fine for everything I needed so far.
I had a light duty $200 King Kutter rear blade, I didn't like it at all. I later got a King Kutter (medium duty) "Professional series" rear blade and I like it much better. It cost a bit more (around $420) but it is a heavier/sturdier built blade. If you get the KK rear blade go with the Professional series..

I have a TC33DA with a 72" Rear Blade and 60" Box Blade. They both work well and were the recommended size from my dealer. During heavy digging/gravel moving I need to keep it in FWD to maintain traction and still slip a little when the going is slick. Depending on your use a 66" (5 1/2') BB may be acceptable. Since my rear wheels are 60" wide, I would certainly go 66" if I was to do it again. I use the rear blade mostly for snow so an 84" would work for that but when grading a 72" is a good size.

I'd suggest a 6' rear blade, unless you're doing really light work, then you could go to 7'. Probably a 5' box blade. 6' brush hog/rotary cutter. 6' or 7'foot rake - the 7' should be no problem.

Check out the Bush Hog 5 1/2 foot box blade and cover your tracks... you should have no problems with it... at least I don't.

I think a wide box blade is over rated and the speed with which you can pull it is under rated. I may be imagining this, but BB's seem to work more efficiently at a higher speed. I think a 5 footer will cover your tracks and you can pull it at a good clip. I wouldn't go any bigger unless you are very patient in lower gears, and don't use it too often.

Box blades catch a lot of abuse. If you plan to work it a lot, get one that's heavily built. Something on the order of 500-600# for a 5' BB will not likely come apart on you.

i use a kk 6' box blade on my tc30 with no problem just did 60 ton of #2 stone with it and no problems, but need to keep in 4wd, used mid-range on the hydro. As far as the cutter the dealer strongly recommended a 5' hog. personally i'll probally get a 5 1/2' or 6' to cover the tires. i also use a 6' york rake with not even a hint of a problem. I used a 5' cutter with my 1320 (21 hp) and no problems with it. so i'm sure the 6' would be fine on the tc 30
