If your worried about HST fan a quick simple solution is 3/4 inch plywood hung underneath via pipe strapping to exisiting holes in frame , cut out a section for the filter. Takes five minutes to take on an off the four 1/4 inch bolts , you can adjust it up tight easily to have it barely noticeable yet still protect I added a piece of sheet metasl at end to prevent sticks from getting thru sideways........and if you are driving anywhere that a stick can go thru 3/4 inch plywood , then you should not be there. I use mine on my ATV trails thru dense bush, plywood has a few gouges thats it.
