Grapple What size grapple?

I have not looked at them, but I will before I make a decision, looks like I got plenty of time. I see that you have some of their attachments, how do you like them? Quality of product? Most of all customer service?

I have a WR Long OBG2-56" grapple. Rock solid piece of equipment. One thing to keep in mind when you get one of these is mounting. Are you using a a Quick Attach for your FEL Implements? If not make sure who ever you buy from can make a pin on type to fit your FEL. WR Long did a great job with my grapple. I fit my FEL like a glove. I tried to purchase another grapple before i got the Long and even though they said they could custom build it to fit it did not. I can not comment on WR Long's customer service because the grapple Is built extreamly well and has not failed.

The grapple can quickly become your favorite implement.

Out tilling fields!:D

Actually I saw this thread but had nothing much to add. Agree with HCJ's summary. Light duty, 48", single upper jaw grapple will be appropriate for about 95% of the CUTs discussed on TBN. I bought mine initially for a 22hp tractor with 1170lb lift capacity at pivot pins and now use the same grapple on a 40hp tractor with 2700lb lift capacity. Works great in both settings. I have used mine very agressively on brush, roots, trees and rocks. A little cosmetic damage and one snagged and busted hose but the grapple has worked brilliantly. I recently decided to straighten a bent tine and elected to add a gusset to support the tip better but that was purely elective (this was on a early Millonzi grapple...the Markham and later Millonzi's already have a gusset that supports the tips).

I also agree with HCJ's summary of hydraulic options. I have used both the rear remote and a diverter valve. If I were to do it again I'd choose either the rear remote as the economy option or if I was going to spend money I'd go for the electric over hydraulic. The diverter valve works but has not impressed me as worth the difference in price over the rear hydraulic option so long as you have a rear remote controller that is convenient to reach.

I know I am glad I went with the rear remote as I have use it for many other implements.
