I have a friend her and her dad own an 855. They run a 5ft Bushhog Squealer behind it. It must work for them, but they mow every few weeks i think, say 3-4.
I have a yanmar 2000, basically the same size tractor but older. I have a 2 cyl engine and not the Hydro tranny. But i run a 4fter, and really dont think i could use a 5 in anything less than short grass mowed every few weeks. Unless i do like the other guy says and leave 1 ft hanging outta the tall stuff to make it a 4. I try and cut my fields 3x a year, this year only did 2x but we didnt get much rain and had little growth for a month. But anyway, most of the areas in the field are tall enough in that time that the tractor really wont want anything larger than that 4fter without just working it flat out and rolling black smoke the entire time.
