What size of a snow blower do guys think is appropriate for my machine.

5.5 foot would cover the back tires with probably 3 inches extra on both ends.

I'm trying to figure out if I should just stick to the 5.5 foot or go with a 6 foot.

Would a 6.5 foot be too big if the odd used one comes up at a good deal? I'm guessing not.

There is really no need to go much bigger than to cover your tracks. My Puma is 64" to cover a 59" track. I have had no trouble going thru 20+ inches of snow. The bigger you go the heavier the unit is and the more it will cost. But on the other hand you might get the work done a little quicker (maybe one pass quicker) but that will depend on your driveway configuration.

I have a 60" for my L3400. It handles it effortlessly for both power and weight. I would probably go no larger than 72" unless I could try it out on the tractor before I bought it.
