What size snowblower?

are straight from china, hence the cheap price. Go on alibaba you find the exact blower. 48-54 anything bigger is too heavy and you'll have issues stearing

I too checked out the ones in Alibaba but no they are not 100% the same, about 70-80%, differences in the quality of the welds, the shoes etc and the gear box. But yes made in China and def. not the stereotypical cheap Chinese quality most think of their products. This blower will outlive your tractor. The manufacturer is Zucheng and is well certified....I am still surprised they price is the same especially with the new Tariffs.

This one looks more like it though.....confusing-lots of copy cats.

With the Woodmaxx, I opted for the tailgate delivery. When thet arrived they used pallet jack to roll it in my garage even.

the 60inch minimum is 18 HP for the SB60

I got a used 60 inch blower. Glad I did. A 72 would have bogged it down quickly I can already tell. All depends on amounts of snow and how dry it is ofcourse.

Got it all set up, had to shorten driveshaft 1.5". Works great! Dug out all the high piles along the driveway & dumped them onto driveway. Blower plowed through it frozen ice chunks & all no problem. I can now complete everything in less than half the time as compared to bucket & back blade. Well worth the investment.

I came up with the same argument when someone told me: install mirrors ! Seems a great idea.

All you'd ever need in spare parts would be bearings and chain which are readily available from most bearing suppliers.
Sheer bolts are simply common hardware.
PTO drive shafts are generic.

Recently we re built a HD 7 ft blower changing the chain and some bearings plus a bit of welding here and there.
Total cost was minimal to say the least compared to replacement.
A qt of paint and it looks like new and operates great.

Maybe this is the wrong thread to brainstorm on, but if you had a hydrostatic tractor with power steering (with no mechanical connection), why couldn't you turn the seat around and add another steering box valve with pedal lever to run it backwards ? As I see it, only leg room would be a problem, but my F-935 is a hydro tractor running backwards with the seat turned around. I have the 47 blower and my neck is OK. Still prefer my 1070 with a plow, though.

I'm not worried;
It will outlast my Massey-however Woodmaxx is a pretty robust company and will stock parts for sometime. In 10 years I hope to be away from snow anyway
On investigation I found several Chinese manufactures making these exact designed snowblowers with maybe some minor differences. So Woodmaxx designs them for our needs and sends the blueprints to Chinese manufacturers and they build them-they also sell them. On Alibaba themselves they even show their certs and pics\videos on how they build them. I would only buy anything made or engineered from Canada as a last resort-Had to many heartaches....hopefully this Berco cab will make me change my mind-so far so good.
