What size trailer (capacity)

I am hauling with a 2004 GMC sierra z71. It has the tow package. Is this enough to haul with? Thanks

Depends on your truck's rear end ratio and motor size.

Im no mechanic, but it does have the button to push on the drive shift end for tow. Motor is a 5.3 (same as a 327). Thanks for the help!!!

I think you are talking about the tow/haul button on your gear shift lever. I have a 2007 5.3 Z71 with tow/haul. You need to know your rear end ratio to determine towing capacity. It should be in your owners manual.

I cant find it. My truck is 4wd, extended cab 2004 gmc, sierra, I know its a 1500 series. Thanks for your help!!!!

I beleive its 3.42.

My 2007 5.3 Z71 1500 series truck is a 4WD standard cab. Extended cab trucks have less towing capacity because extended cab trucks are heavier than standard cabs. With out knowing the rear end ratio no one can give you the exact towing capacity of your truck.

You should have a table in the back of your owners manual. Fact, and not opinion. I think you have more than enough truck to do what you are wanting to do.
