What size trailer do I need to haul my B2920

Hi, was wondering what size trailer I would need to haul my B2920. It is completer with backhoe and front bucket. And info would be real helpful

I have a 16' dual axle trailer with the dovetail. It is ok if I am trailering the tractor with FEL and box blade. But If I am trailering the tractor FEL and rotary mower, I have about 2' off the back. If I was to buy again, I would purchase a 18' trailer. That would give more room to center the tractor where you want on the trailer.

How long is the tractor? How much does it weigh? What other implements would you want to transport(scraper, auger, rotary mower ect?)? What are you going to tow the tractor with? Are your tires loaded?

The tractor is about 16 fully dressed, roughly about 2 ton, no implements other than the FEL and BH ......rear tires are loaded....Towing it with a Dodge Dakota V8 trailer package etc.

18 footer, 7,000lb or 10,000lb depending on your budget. Brakes on both axles.

Another vote for an 18 or 20' trailer. 10 K is a good idea if you have the tow vehicle to take advantage of the extra capacity-7 K would be enough to do the job.

I use a 16' + 2' beaver tail rated 10K for my L3940 and 8N. Bought it off work, it was a good deal. If I had to do it over again I would look hard at the 18' + 2'. Weight adds up fast, a 4000# tractor + 1000# FEL + 800# implement + 2700# trailer = 8500#'s. Keep that in mind. Learn what GVWR (for truck and trailer) and GCVWR means and go to the scales. Stuff adds up fast, especially tounge weight. Philip.

My old Kubota was similar size "B" series. 7000lb trailer handled the tractor just fine. My B8200HSTD with loader and rotary mower loaded, resulted in the mower tailwheel hanging off the back of the trailer of the 16' trailer. I'd look at 18'...

My 16' trailer was about 1600lbs; left me with 5400lb of payload.

Discounting anything else, your tractor on my trailer would be about 5500lbs, plus chains, binders, tools, ice chest ect. Is that within the tow rating of your Dakota?

Hi Robert, thank for the reply......its a B2920, with FEL and Backhoe. I cant find the vehicle weight anywhere. From what I can find, the 2000 V8 Dakota with trailer package can tow from 5 to 6 k lbs safely.

The only other thing I need to figure out is the weight of the tractor, It would be the tractor only no mower, no tools , no chest etc ....
