If you have a BX25, then I assume you have a backhoe.  If some of those roots and vines are too much for the ratchet rake, you could buy a ripper for your backhoe.  It's purpose is to rip roots out of the ground without removing much soil, unlike your backhoe bucket.  I just bought and installed one but haven't had a chance to put it to work yet on my BX23.
