Mahindra 2538
I am new to the world of Tractors and just purchased a Mahindra 2538 to maintain my driveway. I have a front snowbower, box blade and rotary cutter? I bet I will need some spare shear pins, oil and hydraulic fluid. What other parts break that i need to stock up on.

When I bought my tractor, the price included a spare set of every filter that it needed. I always keep lynch pins, spare 3PH pins, spare grease cartridges, and even a spare grease gun, several gallons of the correct motor oil and plenty of diesel fuel, spare fuel filter for my fuel pump and lots of bolts of various sizes although it seems I never have the one I need even with 3 bolt tray bins full. A tool for putting liquid ballast in your tires might be a necessity, it was for me.

The one filter that I didn't get was for my cabs filtration. After 5 years of use, I finally decided to clean them and they were still clear and clean. I don't suspect that I will ever need to change them out in my lifetime.

I would also suggest that as soon as you can afford it, get a large fuel storage and pump system. My 100 gallon tank with 12 volt pump has really paid for itself in ease of fuelling and cutting down on potential for fuel contamination.

This is what I have ended up with as the basics.

Oil Filters and (2) Fuel Filters and one air. I have a few "walk out hoses" - long hydraulic hoses (in 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 which my machine has) that I can hook into the system when I blow a hose and walk out of the woods. One spare fan belt. Pins and keepers (my tractor does not really use them but you will). I store my fuel in a 50 gallon with an electric pump. Luv it. But I do not put any additives in the storage, only in the tank as it messes with the filters on the storage tank. Tons of oil, and a couple of spare lubes.

I also buy by the case degreasers and brake cleaner (spray).

One thing, tractors break. Not your fault, not the manufacturers. They just do. If you are handy, get yourself a good basic toolbox.
