I'll have to revert to your superior football intellect being a defensive line coach for 8 years.Technically, that’s still considered rushing 3. He is still ”pressuring” the QB. He’s pressuring him not to be able to run up the middle.
To the common guy to, rushing the QB is trying to pressure him to throw. The "spy" is pressuring him NOT to run.
However, if only two guys are trying to get the QB when the QB has 5 guys defending him, exactly why would the QB have to run when he has to go 30 yards into the endzone and he can't pass when he passes the line of scrimmage?
