And the sexual innuendo / slightly off color jokes will start in 3... 2... 1...

Hopefully not. In fact, maybe you've just headed them off! :)

My first thought was that he could charge admission. Second thought was maybe he should call a priest and have an exorcism, just in case.

My concern is that, whatever Check decides to do, the evidence and integrity of the scene be preserved. If the public is to be admitted, the actual area with the holes should first be cordoned off. If a priest is called in, the exorcism should be performed from a safe distance, and any Holy Water used sparingly. Same with paranormal investigators, and investigative reporters. They must be respectful of the scientific concerns.

Also, shouldn't historical preservationists be consulted, at this point? This might be an archeologically significant discovery.

Uh oh. In thinking further, I hope this does not result in Check's restoration plans being brought to a "screeching" halt.

BTW, here are a few photos of the barn, which we are restoring. (Shingles are already done.)

I especially like the new window coverings! :D

Good Lord NO! Do not get those people or archaeologists involved... they'll halt your restoration work, take forever to investigate the 'find' and then legally charge you for the expense of the process.

There was a story of a woman in Ontario, Canada who contracted to have a deck built off of her Summer home. They found a partial skeleton. Work was halted. Local Aboriginal Council contacted. Archaeologists called in... It took years and it was at her expense.

Turned out that her land was on an old (1820s ?) church graveyard 'area'. The church had long since disappeared/moved and the records of the time weren't all that accurate for the positions of the graves.

I read that one too, last month. What a horror story....

Thanks! They were custom cut from a new roll. Wait ‘til you see the grand unveiling in the spring, and then the final painting. Trim around the windows will be red, of course, and the siding will be “Mississippi Mud“. Here is what that colour looks like on another little two bedroom cottage on the “estate“:
