I found this tiller on CL. He says its 52' long tilling width and 57' long overall. He does not have a pto shaft or links for it. I have a ym 2000. How hard would it be to get this tiller up and running on my tractor? Thanks

It looks to have the pins so all you need to hook it up is a top link and a pto shaft. If the gear box is in good shape then change the lube out. the tines look worn but you might get by with them for one more season! It also looks to have had the rear skirt trimed on each cornner, might have been done so they could use it to hill a garden???

I have A Pto Dr. shaft left over for a ym2000. I'm in Walton Co. also not far from Monroe. It looks like thats all your need.

Good price ... you should be able to get it running for another $100

Alot less than that. Went and checked and still have it PM me if you want it.

That looks to be a RS1400, the tiller originally sold with YM2000. You will also need Carey's driveshaft, and one more item: the special top link that allows lifting it without hitting your tires.

Search on RS1400 in this Yanmar forum. There has been a lot of information and photos posted over the years.

The notches at each end of the back skirt originally had rubber flaps to keep all the dirt in. I removed the flaps because they were in poor condition. This doesn't seem to hurt anything - maybe it tosses a little more dirt out the back when you till. No big deal.

It's also missing the rear wheels.

The rear wheels are optional, for precise control of depth.

Most modern tillers don't have wheels, and many RS1400 owners never use them either.

For me, my YM240 runs that tiller fine without the wheels but the YM186D (1/3 less hp) can be stalled if I can't control depth, so I use the wheels for tilling with that one.

In Ga. You won't need them. Here's my ym2000 and the RS1400. It worked great just for a small garden. Well worth that asking price. Looks to be in as good of shape as mine was. Better condition if you feel the need for the wheels. My wheel mounts were missing and was told it wouldn't be a issue. It came from Fredricks as is and was told the same thing as Cal. that it came factory with it. Add the cost of new tines and your still be under what I gave for it over 3yrs ago. You will need the Top Mount you can make one fairly easy if need be. Oh and the reason I have the extra Dr. shaft They gave me the wrong one and you will see were I made some changes. I'll let it go cheap If you need it.

Thanks for all of the replies! I bought it for $320.00. Does anybody know where I can get the top link for it? Cary, I sent you a pm.
