So what tires and or sizes are you guys running? I might be needing some new tires on the rear and might as well change them all so I am wondering what do you use, do I use what is stock on it or should I try an aftermarket tire? I wouldn't mind a little taller tire, for better ground clearance, but would like to hear what you guys have to say on this subject.
Thanks

I run the standard Bobcat larger tires - 29x12.5-15. If I had to buy all new tires, I would consider these, for increased mud/traction.

Radman1, the 29's that came on mine were 29x10.5-15's vs. 12.5.

My bad. Your correct. (Got confused with 12.5's on skid steer.) The turf tires are 12.5's but that would require different rims. I do like the idea of 12.5's for width on the TC!

IIRC, 225/75x16's are about 29" in diameter. If so, I may try them next year as you can easily get them in Load Range E (10-ply). My present tires (235 or 245/75x15's) are Load Range C and I'd like something heavier....however, up to this point they have worked well. You might try the Search function as these tire discussions seem to bloom frequently. Plowsite has some TC tire info as well. The 16" wheels with the "6 on 5.5" bolt pattern are popular on trailers (and relatively cheap) so that shouldn't be a problem.

I just traded for a new 5600 with 29-12.5 x 15 turf tires. After taking off the turf tires (and selling) I put a set of 29-12.5 x 15 TRENCHER TIRES, as this is my 3rd toolcat and knowing the problems with traction off road with the tool cat, this set of trencher tires makes this a completly different machine that goes in muddy conditions that would have sent me walking with previous models.

Pioneer... "I put a set of 29-12.5 x 15 TRENCHER TIRES" when you say trencher tires what exactly do you mean? what brand are they also do you have a picture of them on the machine or a link to the website so I can see what they look like

Thanks Dave

The Carlisle Tru Power tires listed in the below link are an example of trencher tires. A little like a R1 tire for a tractor. Relatively high lugs on the edge. I have only been able to find a couple of companies that make a size capable of fitting on the TC. If traction or mud is an issue, I think they would make an ideal tire. Don't know how good they would be in snow.

Dave, I do not have pictures, but the tires look good on toolcat, tire height & width are the same. You have to have the large rim that came with the 29-12.5 x 15 turf tire to make a easy switch to Denman Ditch Digger Tire. Here is a link. Hope this helps.

Those tires both look like what I'm wanting, however they have very low weight/load ratings compared to the smaller sizes and the larger sizes, the 29's seem to be the lowest on weight/load ratings. Have you had any issues with this? They are however, exactly what I'm looking for as far as looks but most importantly traction needs go. How do they ride and last compared to stock tires? They should still fit a stock rim correct?

Thanks Dave
