What to buy big vs small?

Here's a decent looking L45 (newer than L48) unit in VT and a decent price too, 2 Kubota L45

I agree the 110 TLB or L45/48 seem to be the right size - the 445/ Bradco is a big machine and for some jobs may be too big.

The problem is finding a JD 110 in decent condition with 800=1500 hours since they stopped making them a few years ago they are scarce.

Little update, just got back from Maine with this L35. Pulls just right behind my Tundra and seems it will do all that I need. 1600 hrs runs great, front end a little loose and some minor seepage in the front axle but I think I bought it right.

I do need a 3 point hitch for york raking, skidding firewood etc. Eventually maybe a tree spade, plow/harrow. The 2350 needed a lot of work and is too big to move on my trailer. I like the L35 and L48 but am afraid they wont have the loading capability of the 2350 which is why I am drawn to the Ford/ NH 445D.

Don't worry about a L48 loader. Your L35 fights above its weight also and you can safely up the pressure 10% over spec, (keep it under 3000 psig!)

Use your old 2 WD tractor with 3 PT, cheap, & the L35 can save you if you get stuck. Don't worry about the axle seals until it gets really bad.

I would go with the 445D and never look back. Even more so if it has the 3 point and independent PTO
