I don't remember if you were getting a FEL or not. 4wd is awfully handy for loader work. Here in the land of freezing rain, a small load in the bucket and the rears were spinning. I have loaded rears but had no ballast on the 3pth. Now, I realize ice shouldn't be an issue for you but, there are other times you'll like it.
Last summer I was digging a trench the width of the bucket, 30' long and about 3' deep. I had to back up and out to go dump the dirt. I had my tiller on the back for ballast and still needed 4wd. Very handy if you can swing the extra $.
