What to do with used antifreeze

What do you do with used antifreeze? I don't know of any recycling program in my area. Pouring it on the ground, pouring it into a septic system, pouring it into a sewer system are all prohibited. What are people doing with this stuff? I don't expect many replies because most of you will take the 5th on this question.

Take it to a collection site.
Contact your DNR at the state level and pose your question to find out where to get rid of it.

I know the Auozones in PA accept fluids such as used motor oils and antifreeze. You could try one of them or another autoparts store.
You could also try an automotive repair facility.

I'll bet you can find a local gas station or autoparts store that will take it. Your profile doesn't say where in Alabama you are, but I'll bet your local government can also help you find a place to take it. The Alabama Department of Environmental Management has this document on their website -

The documents says to try what I said above and if all else fails do this: "If you must dispose of waste antifreeze, absorb the liquid with a non-biodegradable absorbent such as sand
or kitty litter prior to placement in a landfill."
