What to do with years of straw bedding in barn?

Cleaning out a 600 sa fr barn in a house we bought. There is a good 2 ft layer of straw and goat **** built up. I plan on pulling it all out to get a flat floor for equipment storage and/or a clean start for our own goats.

Any suggestions on what to do with the old bedding? I was thinking of just piling it in a row and letting it compost, but thought someone here might suggest something more useful.

Either compost or turn chickens loose on it.

Sounds like it would make great compost, flower bed filler, garden starter, etc....

Pile & compost it. The ***** will take care of the nitrogen requirement.

Yes, that will be great compost. Unlike hay, there will be no weed seeds in the straw.

I always spread the bedding from horse stalls on the pasture for fertilizer.

Do you have steep slopes/banks that give water run off problem,if so spread there.

Or you can do like my idiot neighbor did with the huge deposit of cow manure in the old dairy barn on his property. Pile it up and burn it.:thumbdown:
