I pays to shop around, I went to 3 dealers same tractor price varied several thousand dollars. First dealer is 3 miles from my house he would not budge in his price, he wanted $20K he wanted me to pay for loaded tires, 3 point hitch, and backhoe bucket. Second dealer said he could work on the price but I just did not get a good feeling from him. 3rd dealer gave me a price of $3K less than the first dealer, threw in loading the tires, 3 point hitch and told me to pick either the 9" or 12" backhoe bucket.
Signed the paper work and they delivered it withing a few days. he is 30 minutes from my house but is well worth the ride.

I got a quote from 3 dealers on the same tractor. None were willing to haggle on price. I then went back to the higher 2 dealers and told them what my lowest quote was and asked if they could beat it. Neither of them were willing to beat the price. One of the two dealers was only 5 mikes from my house. I told him if he could just match the price, I would buy from him since he was so close. But he couldn't/wouldn't even price match. So I paid the amount of the lowest quote, but found out through this forum that nobody else has paid less than I did for my particular machine, do I probably got the best deal possible.
