Here are some basic guidelines for what should and shouldn't be posted here in the new general forum for owning and operating...

Examples of what to post here
General how-to questions and answers, like "how do I use a rear blade to plow snow?" or "What are the best tire chains?" ... "How much ballast for FEL work?" ... etc.

Examples of what goes in brand-specific forums
"How to do 50-hour service on my B7500?" ... "Can I put R4 tires on my B7300?" ... "Recap of JD 4300 weekend fun!" /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Thanks...

And if I might throw my 2 cents worth in again, I'd like to suggest that as many of the posts be in the general section as possible. For example, it's easy to post some tips and techniques for grading with your JD9876 that you've figured out and want to share, and put them in the JD operation forum - but they belong in the general forum, unless you're using some feature your JD has that no other tractor does, right?

Yes, that's true.

I can see this forum as being one of the biggest on the board if used right. I like it not being by brand. Good help for all, even if you have a pink tractor.

Careful, Jerry!

A guy could be sensitive about stuff like that. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Harv - You'd better be careful, Harv! Next thing you know, I'll be wanting you to paint the real thing that color. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Nice job, BTW... The reason it took me so long to reply is that I was laughing too hard...

Harv
I hope that's an edited pic. If it's not, I'll bet it really turns some heads. A guy'd have to be pretty secure with his manhood to drive one of those.

If Harv'll come paint it, I'll drive it. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

What, you mean you guys haven't heard?

The Mary Kay people are expanding out of cosmetics for women and into cosmetic treatments of yards and gardens. Of course the equipment they use will be 'Mary Kay pink'! /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
