What to put under metal roofing?

Was the previous shed walls close? I wouldn't put anything other then planks under the metal roof... I can't see condensation happening if there is no walls to trap the humidity in and if you put something below the metal and its water proof condensation will happen on it regardless putting anything underneath is a waist of money ... and why would you spend the money to sheet it with plywood if you put metal on it ? ... makes no sense.

Your rafters are far apart obviously not complete or no updated picture, you will have to have to ridge beam and more 2x6 or what ever you will install then planks at 12 to 16 inch and the metal...

this is mine ... 2x4 then planks

this is the only thing I put under at the peak ... in your case you would only need it for the cap.

online exemples ... over board with the planks on the first one but you get the idea.

Use the bubble stuff. I've used it for years and it's still good. On open sheds too. That shed over the pickup has bubble wrap insulation from years ago. The main shop has fiberglass vinyl roll and chicken wire under it.

I had a shop built about ten years ago. And the guy put bubble stuff in the top under the tin. It works but this don’t turn the heat around like I wish it did the people said they couldn’t spray that new kind on since he put that in. I sure am glad he didn’t wrap the walls in it I just believe it would be uncomfortable. Live a learn
