I don't even use my $200 carryall, why would I get something similar that costs more?Maybe I'm missing something, but rather than a carry all, why not just get rear forks? Then, take a reasonably good pallet and make a storage crate on it out of scrap lumber. Customize as needed for what you like to carry. If you want something more permanent, use PVC and/or milk crates and such. (or do a good job with waterproofing the wood).
I love all three of those ideas! That is the kind of gold I am talking about.Examples of how some have enhanced the basic structure:
@John0829 I also need to mount my cheapy clay pigeon thrower to something, might as well make it so I can move it around with the tractor. Thanks for that idea!
I honestly think carryalls are a throwback to a time when tractors didn't have loaders, they were made to carry things with the 3 point because there were no other options. For that purpose they are supremely useful. But for a tractor with a FEL they lose quite a bit of those uses. All of my other 3 point implements have the ability to carry tools. If I want to carry something I will just use my FEL forks and leave my good ballast on the back.
The neat pics that @EdGooding posted could eaily be made to go on a carryall OR my forks. It would be nice to have the option. I mean at this point I don't see a reason to sell it, I could probably only get $100 for it. Probably better to keep it to have the option to carry stuff back there. But until I make something like @EdGooding posted I don't see it getting much usage. Thanks for the replies!
