What Tools do you carry?

Ok being the newbie I would like to know what tools do you carry on your tractor when your out working away from the barn. A BFH, cresent wrench, pliers (what type and size).

I would like to start putting together the neccesary tools that I might need so I don't have to drive/hike back to the barn.

Thanks all, See, I told you I'd come up with some questions.......

I only carry a 12" crescent wrench and a Leatherman.

When I take the ford tractor out, the tool box has one pair of gloves, 2 shear pins, 1 half inch wrench and 3 cans of beer. That fills the tool box nicely.

I have all sorts of junk in mine... That sears robo grip comes in handy, different screw drivers, pipe wrench, 2 pairs of gloves, zip ties, electrical tape, asorted werid wrench(s) since I've have both standard and metric bolts, as I'm sure most NH's do... fence mending junk, lineman plyers, small sections of chain, flash light, small hammer... Not enough room for the BFH yet...

I'd like to mout an army style ammo box on the back, I think that would work wonders, I know that a few people have done that already, I'm sure you could search for it, or maybe some peeps will post some pics...

what I carry is everything except the tool I need at the time ....it's always someplace else.....sometimes 3 hours away ...but just in case, there is a spud wrench, pliers, leatherman, and big screwdriver in the box.

12" crescent wrench, claw style hammer, gas pliers, razor knife and a little ball of bailing wire. screwdriver.. not much room in the NH tool boxes...

I keep a 1st aid kit and fire ext. on the op platform, as well as a few extra bunji straps and a couple fold up 'road' triangles in case i break down on the road / side of the road.

16" Channel Locks, 12" Pipe Wrench, Big Flathead Screwdriver, All sorts of Coupler Pins. These items have saved me time after time.

mines got a 12"? cresent wrench, 2lb BFH, pry bar, various pins, clips etc. Gloves if they arnt on my hands, Big flat head screwdriver. (it has diffrent uses than the larger pry bar) D-ring, and some chain is usely found on the tractor someplace. A rag or 2.

At any given time i have a fencing plyers stuck in the upright for the loader, and a bow saw slung over the bucket level indication rod thingie. My pulaski is finding its self with me more and more as i am finding it great for small digging jobs, axeing jobs etc.

Wow what a lot of great ideas. THANKS! I was thinking of doing the aux tool box behind the seat.

How many have fire extinguishers mounted? If so where? I know with building fense and welding that I will need one on the welding rig and thought I put one on the tractor.

I've never had a need for those. After ripping off the first of two loader hoses in the past three years I carry the proper size wrenches to remove a hose, and a multi-tip screwdriver that I don't recall I've ever used.

Here's what I carry, and use all the time in the orchard - gloves, water, and often my digital camera to document stuff so I can recall it later. And in this tool carrier: a shovel, saw, mattox, pruning shears, two 12 ft chains.
