What tools to bring when tractor travels?

After moving onto the farm I have a new appreciation for cheap tools. They work for 95% of the jobs and you don't cry as long when they come up missing. Keep the good stuff in the shop and shop the bargain bins for tools that travel around the farm.

One other thing, a couple of days ago a farmer over the hill from me burnt up $30,000 worth of grass seed that was ready to harvest. He laid a rag on his tractor and it hit the exhaust and caught fire. Then it fell on the ground. They said it took off like gasoline in the 100 degree heat. This just reinforces the need for a fire extinguisher. Possibly a slightly larger one than you first would think.

I'd better be careful. You are right. I didn't want to carry a single action, it's hard to pull the hammer, aim and drive the tractor at the same time. Besides, I don't want to get the PETA folks going, I believe in PETA too----People Eating Tasty Animals!!!!!

Well I included everything y'all recommended except the fire extinguisher (It's on my list now) and then some. Tractor didn't require any repairing. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Used the tools to assemble new beds, chairs etc. for the new home. Maybe santa will have to get my dad a few choice items for x-mas so I don't have to lug them up with me.
