Nick, I definitely think the CK20 Kioti would be a good choice for you. I bought mine with loader backhoe and boxblade for $16.681 plus tax. This little tractor will do a whole lot of hard jobs and never complain. Kioti parts are very resonable from what I've been able to discover, and many parts are interchangeable between some of the models, making them cheaper and easier to get. Daedong has been making diesels since 1949, and is a huge company with worldwide exposure. I doubt that Kioti will be going anywhere any time soon. Keep us posted, John

nick there are a lot of good tractors out there.

after looking at a bunch i had decided on a ck20 and had gone in to buy when my sells man asked me what i planed to use it for. when i said lots of moving dirt and that i planed on getting a backhoe down the line he suggested a lk3054xs. it has a shuttle shift which is much better for back and forth manuvers when front loading. plus it has larger hydrolick pump and front loader is a lot heavier(exspecials 1231). plus this machine has been redesigned to better acomidate a backhoe.

he said they have a backhoe package that comes in between 20 and 21k but i have found stuff for less than what he sells at.

would definitly check out kioti before you buy. they have a good site also. kioti.com

Chipperman is correct, Iron Horse is a Chinese Jinma tractor. For comparisons, see Northern's 304, which is essentially the same tractor. For 4k hoe, I assume that is the chinese one. For more info on Jinmas, see my homepage. There is plenty of info and pointers to see if they are right for you.

IMHO, given your requirement of multiple inexeperienced users, might lead you down the path of HST. At this time, HST is not available in any chinese tractor, and will streach you budget in the makes that offer it.

If you do decide to go with hst also look at Mahindra,Long-Farmtrac,and the different AGCO offerings(AGCO,Massey,Challenger)these last ones might be too expensive new,but do not rule them out used.

Take a look at a Power Trac 1430, 4WD diesel in your price range and a great landscaping machine. www.power-trac.com

I have looked at a number of tractors. Opinions on what I have found would be most appreciated. Kioti LB1914 TLB 16400. Kubota B7610 TLB 19000. Deere 790 TLB 19000. Used (Rental) Deere 4200 TLB 1200 hrs 14000. Kubota BX23 15000. Farmtrac 320 DTC TLB 20000. Used New Holland TC30 TL 10000. Cub Cadet 7320 TLB 20000. As you can see I have been doing some shopping. I am looking for a TLB, started off with the BX, but for a little more money, and possibly longer financing (which means the same payment) I could get a lot more tractor. The Farmtrac 320 DTC seemed nice, I like the model and the shuttle shifting on it, but I think the price is a little high. The deere 790 doesn't have the lift capacity for the size of tractor it is. The Cub Cadets look nice - and they have 84 month financing. The Kioti lb1914 had excellent lift ratings on its loader and backhoe - and it is shuttle shift. I have heard that parts are hard to get for them.

As far as cost goes, I think it is important to consider the length of the term you can finance. For example, Kubota only goes to 60 months, while Deere goes to 84 months. For me at least, the payment is more important than the actually price. You could finance a 23000 tractor for 84 months for about the same payment you could finance an 19000 tractor for 60. Just a thought. If you have a reputable dealer close by you may be better off going with them because maintenace and/or parts may cost you in the long run - and that you have to take right out of your pocket. In two years your opinion on the cheap tractor being a deal may change when you are stuck with something that needs repaired that costs and extra $500+.

I have a Deere 4310 (32Hp) with loader and hoe, and gave $23K, with low interest financing. I could have saved some money by getting a reverser instead of HST, the 420 loader, or even stepped down to the slightly smaller 4210. Whenever I price other options, the only way they are cheaper is by getting less.

My point is, really check your options. I almost didn't get a bid on a Deere, since EVERYONE knows how expensive the green paint is. In some areas, they are outta the park. Same story goes for the other Majors (NH, Kubota, Kioti...)

But be sure whatever you choose there is a real dealer who will really take care of you.

I don't see why parts would be hard to get !!
This model has been around for years. Parts should be no problem.
