Oil & Fuel What Transmission oil to use

What does the kioti dealer supply you with when you buy from them??? Is it an oil jug with the kioti name on it??? If so I would not doubt that it is the same darn thing inside and over priced. Its just another way for them to make some money. I posted a question on here to find out what others were using and found that people were using this with no problems.

When you bought your tractors why not buy the fluids and filters for the 50 hour service from the dealers then?Just curiuos?coobie

I might have, if the price was not totally outrageous. I did not know that the first service was at only 50 hours.

I should have mentioned, I did buy Kioti filters mail-order from Tri-County Equipment. Rick Lewis was get to work with and the filters seem to be a very high quality.

because we are poor folks that want to save money, i bought my hydraulic oil from my dealer, he told me he could get it cheap as anybody, WRONG, i paid 70 bucks for 5 gallion bucket, could have got the same thing at walmart for 30 bucks. never buy from a dealer when you can get the same exact thing cheaper somewhere else. just because the dealer sells it doesn't mean its better. just means you'll pay more.

Bought my filters from my dealer[of course, where else you going to make sure you get the right filters on first change],plus they was about as cheap as any other napa brand or whatever[if you knew the numbers that is.]

But bought napa brand heavy duty universal for trans, dealer doesn't stock oil I don't think anyways, plus when I was there to buy filters I asked him,he showed me a 5 gal bucket or two and they were napa brand, thats why I bought them at napa. I'm sure most other heavy duty type universal is about as good as another?

I supported my dealer plenty when I bought tractor, by the way, I feel.

Used gearoil in front end I bought at a federated auto store,[by the way, that front end on a ck30 tractor anyways, holds alot more than book says, book says,1.19 gal,I've got almost 6 qts in mine now, keeps settling, thats to top of sight glass but not above.]

I finally got around to changing all the fluids yesterday. I used the Kioti filters and Tractor Supply premimum hyd. oil. You are right about the front drive. My level from the factory was just barely in the sight glass and at least 5 quarts came out. Also the drain points for the transmission fluid in my owners manual didn't jive with what I found on the tractor so I called the dealer. I asked him about it. He said that was another "fairy tale" in the owners manual. I told him I had found a few already. I put gear oil back in the front drive also.

Wow. What else can you teach me?

Well I am not sure, what would you like to learn about? Do you have an open mind and are you willing to learn? I know a fair amount about aviation, safety, and the US Army. I have a cute little puppy and 2 cats. I have spent quite a bit of time overseas. I like to eat chocolate. I grew up on a farm in IL, but enough about me. If you have something specific you are wondering about just ask and I will see what I can do for you. I can't make any promises, but if can tell you I don't know the answer to the question that I will not try to bluff you with a sarcastic hollow response.

I was simply trying to help out someone who had a question on a subject that I have recently conducted significant research on. I am sorry if I have offended you in some way with an answer to a question that you did not ask, nor provide any assistance. I was just trying to help out a fellow Kioti owner.

I called a Kioti dealer in Freedom NH and they told me to use Napa Naviguard a tractor transmission fluid---costs $10.00 per gallon

You can also use Bobcat Hydraulic fluid but that cost is $15.00 per gallon
