Ask about emerald zoysia. A very tough grass.
You have to sod or plug since you can't seed it /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I planted a small patch of centipede grass from seed a few years ago. I love this grass. Slow growing, drought tolerant, hugs the ground low. Looks a little like St Augustine, but is more for low traffic areas. I don't know how it would do if infiltrated by weeds and/or bermuda. It's expensive though. A pint of seed I think was $25. You can also buy as a turf if you can find it. But it won't be cheap.
