Another captured "arsenal" from the New Orleans suburbs with the arrest of a street gang. What chance do any of us have if we meet up with a gang like this? It seems like for every gang they arrest and finally get jailed, three more gangs pop up. This is definitely worse and more violent than the Al Capone days. Just not as glamorous as the prohibition days because there are no TV series about it because they would be labeled racial profiling.

I'd fear anyone that had a bunch of guns and a tub of couscous.

Im in the "its a staged photo" camp.

Wondering what two they are trying to claim were "illegally modified to full auto"

One of the hand guns??

Cause the one in the lower right isnt a complete gun. They staged it to look like it was a terrifying "assult rifle", but aside from it not even having the upper and lower pinned together, it doesnt even have a BCG.

Dude was obviously a criminal, with drugs, guns, and stolen property and deserved to be arrested. But trying to make it look like something its not is deceiving.

Of course the picture is a staged photo. Do you think the accused kept the guns nice and neat on a table like that? No.

Every picture of evidence in any crime where they lay it out on a table is staged. Doesn't mean it's false.

I'm guessing they'll probably have a ton of photos in court showing where all the guns and other items were found.

They were charged with several things, including a machine gun charge. If they aren't machine guns, they'll get that knocked off.

Not about
Not sure where you are, but just about everyone I know that hunts coyotes uses an AR platform.

Same with groundhogs.

My next will be a 350 legend for deer.

No game. People can buy guns for whatever reason they want. But to say a AR is not a hunting rifle is a stupid statement. Just because wasnt created as a hunting rifle doesnt mean it didnt evolve.

Tractors were created for farmers to replace horses. Does that mean hobbiest shouldnt own a tractor, because they werent created to do chores around the house and take down the trash and mow the yard? Or have they evolved into something more useful that a higher percentage of the population can use?

I have several AR's. And its not because I am wanting to make sure there isnt a dictator in charge. Its because I enjoy shooting them both recreationally and for hunting. So quit the BS that you think you know why everyone owns one
I think his points was more so why the AR is important, and it's importance is not hunting. You can hunt with a lot of rifles. My deer rifle is a savage in 30-06. Or remmington 12ga with 00 buck. But those guns aren't particularly affective when facing off against tyranny. That is the importance of an AR.

By "staged" I mean trying to imply something that is false to suit their agenda.

No denying they were criminals and deserve the full force of the justice system

But intentionally laying gun "parts" of an incomplete firearm out to try and make people believe it was a functional weapon, or the location of the pistol to appear it has a suppressor.....is deceptive

Interesting what two people looking at the same picture see.

I didn't see any gun "parts" laid out. I saw some handguns with the slides locked open and the magazines laying there. And a couple rifles with the mags laying there. The only thing I don't recognize is item(s) laying below the upper rifle's magazines. Some sort of sights or lights, or short tube, I'm just guessing as the photos are grainy and my knowledge of that rifle is pretty tiny. Never seen one up close.

That one of the pistols has it's barrel near the rifle's buffer tube ( I think that's what it's called) and someone thinks they're trying to portray it as a suppressor refers back to my comment about what two people see looking at the same picture. Not so much what they see, I guess, as what they interpret.

Lol. You’re so funny. Remember most of Capone’s goons were war veterans, most of the goons who have the evil arsenals here are cowards without any sort of training.

There were no rifles in the first picture. And one pistol was not assembled.

Whatever dude. :ROFLMAO:

I know there's stupid definitions of what is and isn't legally considered a rifle. For all intents and purposes, to me, those two are semi-automatic rifles. We all know they are.

Since the police report didn't say which guns were illegally converted machine guns, we can't assume it's those two either. It could very well be the pistols, or may not even be pictured at all.
