What type plow do I need?

I am located in S. Texas and have a fairly new 75 HP JD, weighted rear wheels. I use it mainly for shredding and bucket work. I plan on having my 60ac. of coastal fields root plowed again since the previous owner allowed them to grow back up in mesquite brush. Most of the time its pretty dry down here.
I here folks talking about discs, tooth harrows, rippers??? What do I need for my coastal fields once I have them root plowed again? I assume they will be fairly rough at first but once the grass is back in, do you disk or use some kind of rippers that doesn't completely turn the grass over?
