Unless a falla wanted to drill a couple holes in the frame, the L3200/3800 would have to mount a little different than on the B3030. That dang steering link looks like it could interfere possibly. I'm gonna pick some sheet metal up and start a cover of some type i guess.

UPDATE-------I went and took some measurements and drew a template up on paper and then traced onto some 12 gauge. I'm really happy with how it has turned out after welding and grinding it smooth. Just need to take it to work tomorrow and bead blast it and then on goes the orange. I'll try and get some pictures up soon also

The filter really needs to be in a visible spot. Fuel problems cause lots of shop work for us, and most of them can be easily diagnosed just by looking at the filter. So if it needs to be visible and below the injectors, I'm not sure where else you would go... back a bit maybe..?

My older Kubotas had the filter back closer the the dash, same side and tucked in closer to the frame, but still visible and easy to get to. This new L3800 has the filter in a somewhat vulnerable place. I am keeping an eye on it, when in heavy brush and will likely fab some type of guard for it.

Here is my proto of the fuel filter guard. The diminsions I give here are on the fuel filter side of the tractor facing it. Right being the front side of the tractor and left being towards the rear. The overall diminsion is 5 3/4" deep x 2 3/4" wide x 6 1/4" tall .

The right side piece is 5 3/4" deep x 6 1/4" tall. The notch for the steering shaft is 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" up front the bottom and 2 1/4" deep from the back side(closest to the tractor) You will cut that 1" x 2 1/4" piece out to fit around the steering shaft.

The left side is going to be 5 3/4" deep x 6 1/4" tall. There is a notch in the top back corner that allows it to fit under an engine piece. It is 3 1/2" measured from the back side out and 1 3/4" measured from the top side down. Remove the corner piece. The notch for the steering shaft is 2 1/8" and 3 1/8" up from the bottom and like the right side it is 2 1/4" deep from the back side out.

The back piece is overall 4 1/8" x 2 1/2" tall. With that piece cut and in front of you measure from the right to the left 1 1/2" and from the bottom to the top 1 1/2" and remove that bottom corner. The angle along the top follows the rise from the lower portion of the steering shaft notch on the right side to the lower portion of the steering shaft on the left side. For the hole that the bolt that holds the steering shaft assembly in place goes through, those measurements are as follows. With the back piece in front of you, 5/8" right to left and 1/2" down from the top. That is the center point and that hole needs to be 1/2".

If anyone wants to modify or add to this any, feel free. This is simply what I have come up with and did actually bolt it on so it does work. I did not get a picture of it but I also welded a 4" long piece on the bottom to keep anything from coming up through the bottom. Thats simple to figure out though. I still need to bead blast it tomorrow and then on goes the paint. Hope this saves some people some trouble down the road. Feel free to ask any questions if need be also.
