Not mower related, but I did go out Monday to smooth out the nice pile of clay I was left with when they installed a water valve/tap in my front yard. I can't tap into this, because I am not "in the city". They graciously installed one as they put a in new water main on the other side of the road......for the future if I ever decide to annex to the city.
I used the toothbar to loosen up the ground a bit, then turned around to use the box blade. Lowered it to smooth things out and lost traction as I took off. backed up, put it in 4WD, tried again.....no good. Raised the blade a bit and poured the fuel to 'er.......I now have a nice 5' long water valve shut off casing laying on top of the ground /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The water line and valve are down there somewhere, just the casing laying on top of the ground. I think I'll just dispose of it. When and if they ever need to connect water, they'll need to excavate to connect a water line anyway /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
