What was that big WHOOMMP!! sound?

It was a beautiful day here Sunday and I'm mowing along with my finish mower and enjoying the day when all of a sudden I hear this loud yet muffled WHOOOMMP!! and my RPM's dropped dramatically then came right back. I thought I'd scalped a high spot even though I'd set the mower at it's highest level. No big deal since I'm single and don't have to answer to anyone for such things so on I mow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, it was sunny but not too warm so I'd decided to forego the long sleeve shirt and get a little sun for a change. Since I keep a bungee cord wrapped around the handle on my fender for my gloves I just folded it up and stuck it under that.

It wasn't until I made the turn and headed back the other direction that I saw something in the grass. Sign me been there and done that. Besides for grinding up some work gloves and sweat towels one sunny day I had one of the front wheels come off of my RFM. It really didn't slow my 40HP New Holland down too much but it made some very serious commotion and quickly got my attention. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

While I haven't lost any articles of clothing (yet) . I did manage to bush Hog my cord to my block heater . That , and I found a missing piece of carpet remnant that my Labrador dutifully covered with dirt /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

Did my cell phone that way once, under my Ford 4000D with a 5' rotary cutter. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif The phone had some chunks of plastic missing, but it still worked, albeit with worse reception and not all of the features. I now keep the new phone clipped IN my pocket instead of hanging off the side.

Well now, I feel like a true member of the fraternity for sure! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif When I first got our property and old massey 135 the bottom cushion on the tractor was gone so I just used a old bar stool type cushion , well even with the cushion my toucas got a little tender after a while ,Sooo I stand up seat flipped to the up position ,no problem ,then I hear THE WHUMP! Look back immediately to see the fluff floating in the air all over the place, I thought I ran over a goose! or something /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifOH NO !! that's awful ,then I flipped my seat back down to collect myself, MAN I JUST KILLED MY SEAT CUSHION!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
