I think what started it all for me was when I was 5-8 my dad used to bring our family up to eagle lake in northern maine every year, he's from Fort Kent and visited every summer for a couple of weeks. The campground used to give rides on the little cart they used to deliver fire wood to the campsites. My brother and I would ride on top of the wood every night. The tractor was a little garden tractor, probably a ford or craftsman. But man was that fun, I can still, over 35 years later, remember the route the tractor would take through the campground.
My first tractor was a 1953 case 310C crawler loader. Then a Kubota B6000E (terrific tractor, had two of them, one with TLB), then a JD 350B dozer with six way, then my Kioti LK3054XS. And they all lived at my house on 3.5 acres. My neighbors think I'm a little odd, but, hey, it sure beats drinking or getting into some other sort of trouble. Although these things have their own trouble.
I like these sort of posts.
