I have came to the same conclusion. Some are more aware than others.

Some have very vivid imaginations...and some are extremely gullible...I believe that the majority of what is referred to as "paranormal" falls under these parameters...

However, if you're familiar with certain scientific laws and theories it does leave open some possibilities...

For instance...if you take the fact that humans and other living things contain chemically induced electrical (heat) energy...and applying the first law of thermodynamics along with Einstein's E = mc2...>>>

>>>When a living entity expires what happens to the above mentioned energy ?...from the equation we know it has mass...who is to say how that energy/mass may manifest itself ??...Food for thought...!

When was the house built or the history of the land it was on?

I have no idea. My Dad grew up in the house and always said it was haunted; when he joined the Air Force at 18 he would never sleep there when he came home. On the other hand, you couldn't blast my Grand Mother out of it.... :confused3:

Yes.... I tend to be more aware; I get a certain feeling and then my little voice starts ringing the alarm. I can get it over the phone, or through emails, or face to face; I always know the "type of person" I am dealing with.

I don't think there's anything unworldly about that; some people are more tuned in to voice undertones, facial expressions, and other nuances.

Nothing spiritual here, but just strange...

Once upon a time back in the early 80's, my brother and I were both in the service at the same time. As it happened that year (82 or 83, I can't recall) we were both going to be able to take leave and come home over Christmas holidays.

Anyway, our Mother got this idea in her head that she wanted us to bring our dress uniforms home and go have our pictures taken with her. Now for most of you ex-servicemen, you will probably identify with the sentiment that neither one of us wanted to bring home our @#$&! dress uniforms, much less put them on and wear them about, while we were home on leave, and actually trying to relax and enjoy our time off. All our attempts to talk her out of it failed, so long story short, there we are, standing in the lobby area of this photography studio waiting to get our turn done so we can get out of there.

Then I hear this guy speak up in the lobby, he stammers out, "Commander 'X' ?(the X being my last name, which while isn't impossible to pronounce correctly on the first go, it usually gets mispronounced on the first attempt, which I'm quite used to and it's no big deal). Anyway, this guy says "Commander X"? in a questioning tone, but he nails the pronunciation perfectly. I turn around and I'm surprised to see that he's speaking to me. I say something like "Excuse me?" He stammers out something about he served under me years ago on some duty station. I say that he must have me confused with someone else, and he very confidently (now) says that no, he's quite sure he served under me as his commanding officer. This guy is standing probably 2 to 3 feet in front of me, staring directly into my face, and he's POSITIVE that I'm the guy. Same name, same face, he's certain. Dead certain that I'm him. My first several attempts to tell him I'm not the guy he's looking for are brushed aside, because this guy is that positive. Even telling me that he worked directly under me for years, and he can't believe I don't remember him (and he's a little hurt by this).

I finally get him to tell me what years these were, which he does, and I tell him I was still in high school then. I even showed him my military ID, with date of birth and everything. The only way he started to believe me was when he saw my date of birth (I looked older than I was back then-probably still do today).

So we were all kind of blown away that there's some other poor sod out there with the same name, both first and last (not that common a last name), and this poor guy looks like me too.

Doppelganger?

In the rest of my time in active duty, I never ran into anyone else that "recognized" me as the other person, and I never ran into my doppelganger.

But it sure was weird to have some stranger tell you they were certain you were someone else.

So a few years ago I was out in the middle of a lake duck hunting. slow morning for ducks, but the sunrise was nice so I took a few panoramic photos with my cellphone. That evening checked them out and this is one of the 4 I took, and the only one with this "figure" in it. I'm not saying, but just sayin......

I hear its a feminine characteristic

When I was a kid of around 5 to 6 years old, I was sitting on my Grandma's porch in eastern NC. Her house was an old shotgun style about 30 ft off of a gravel road. Anyway... I'm sitting there watching two people walk down the road towards the house; once they reached the gate in the yard fence, they turned.. opened the gate, and walked right past me into the house without saying a word. The one did tip his hat however. So, I jump up and run into the house to see who was visiting, and... no one there. I saw them clear as day but no one else did.

Heard Magic mushrooms can induce hallucinations similar to that

Here is a strange story I haven't thought of for a long time. I was driving home from work one evening, and yeah, I was contemplating something in the spiritual realm, when I received this mental message: "You have a check waiting on you when you get home". Weird, I thought, I wasn't expecting anything like that...but sure enough, when I got home, and opened my mail, there was a check from a completely unexpected source. It wasn't that big, but there it was!

P.S. Here's a link to a similar thread on this site; I have two or three very weird incidents that I posted there.

Funny, i had a doppelganger moment, not nearly as weird, where someone said hi and used some other person's name. He talked to me about something that "we" had done the week before. I said i'm not that person and i don't know him. Similar effect, he looked to be a bit miffed that i was playing some game with him, then we went on our ways. Later that week , i was walking on university campus, going to meet up with my sister, a young women kind of ran up to me and called me my the same name and related what fun the get together was, and again i said i wasn't that person etc. She said that she believed me, as that group of friends were talking about this guy they had seen, that looked just like their friend. We talked a bit about how weird that was and she even said that I had a doppelganger on campus. We both turned away from each other, i hear the women call out, hey, "persons name" i found your doppelganger, i turned and saw a young guy that looked like my twin. Same height, i was slightly heavier build, i think different color eyes, same color hair. No family in common nothing to indicate we were related.

When I bought my Ford Ranger in 1986 I was a little leery of it because I had always owned large cars and trucks and I felt at risk in such a small truck. Whenever one of my friends would ask me how I like it, I would usually tell them that everything was great except the size and that if I ever got into a wreck I hope it was with a Honda because that was the smallest car I could think of at the time.

On September 17, 1987 I was hit, head on, by a drunk who totaled out my truck and his car, giving me broken ribs and other injuries. I was shocked when I saw he had been driving a new Honda.

Whenever someone says that I look familiar I say ..."I used to be in ****"...!

I have a hard nosed friend who did time in the jungle and had malaria twice.

Among his stories is one of hunting back home and seeing two translucent- blue human-like figures walking silently in the woods.

There was no sound, no britght lights in the woods, or a sign of any craft or conveyance.

We all know aliens have been imitating human form since the '50s, so I believe him. He saw what he saw.

(I haven't ruled out that it was the Knights Templar doing a ceremony. ;))

You were right to believe your friend,I also believe he saw what he saw.
A childhood friend worked weekends at the drugstore where part of his duties was handling film brought in for development. Transparancy discs similar to old fashion negatives was popular. The kid put some "interesting" pictures on a disc, rigged a 6 volt spotlight bulb in a slide projector. He and his well behaved buddy would shinny overhead on one of the bridges where fog lay in a river bottom. As cars passed beneath, images were projected on the layer of fog several yards down road. What the boys learned was planting a seed in one's head unleashed their imagination. Some people swore buggers approached their car, some were chased home, some stopped and talked with them and some saw images later on when boys were not even near the river. The boys sometimes too a different show on the road in the form of rosined heavy cotton cord drawn through a 5 gallon bucket. Returning home late at night, they pulled the bucket from trunk and made lion roaring sounds. Barking dogs woke owners who occasionally woke nieghbors while driving around with guns looking for the lion. At the first sign of vehicle lights the show ended. Simba retired after a yearling was shot and crippled by an overly excited lion hunter. I've often wondered what the statue of limitation is on that kind of stuff.

I purchased a mid engine Mitsubishi mini van for my wife brand new. It was a great deal at the time. As we owned it I was always uncomfortable in it, you could literally pinch the door together by squeeing the window frame the metal was so cheap. Fun fact the radiator neck metal was so thin the water whirling inside he cap wore a hole in the metal.
One day I had enough of these "feelings" from this vehicle that I sold it, after only a year at a fire sale price.

Went out and purchased a Ford Aerostar engine up front. Two weeks later a southern country visitor jumped the medium and hit my wife head on and ran away from the scene.

Not a scratch on my wife.

If she had been in the Mitsubishi the only thing between her and the other car would have been cheap thin front plate and glass. She would without a doubt lost her life, or at best lost both legs.

My advice, when something inside you is screaming at you - LISTEN to that voice.

Not really weird, but definitely odds defying.

In the 70’s, my family was on vacation. While in Wyoming or Montana, my older brother runs into his current high school principal. Ten years later, my parents and I were on vacation and we ran into my high school principal while in Ohio.

Not a big deal...but what are the odds of either of those things happening...especially considering the locations...not very popular vacation spots.
