? What wheels will fit my 400 backhoe

I have a 1970 John Deer 400 backhoe that I recently bought. The rear tires are shot and the price of new 16.9-24's are crazy. There were various 24 & 28" rear wheels that came on this model. I found somebody that has a decent pair of 13.9-28" that came of a JD 5225, since I have the 24" wheels I was wondering if the 28" wheels off the 5225 would mount on my 400.

I use Craigs list quite often when looking for rims or tires.

I believe that your wheel centers are 8 hole I don't know the pattern diameter.
So most 8 hole with the right spacing and the right offset will work.

My guess is 8 bolt wheels will interchange between 5225 & 400.

My concern is weather mine having cast centers and the 5225 having stamped centers would matter?

Sorry my crystal ball was dusty & didn't realize 1 set of wheels were cast & other set was pressed steel. I still think 8 bolt centers will bolt up but you'll lose the weight of the cast vs pressed steel centers.
